What happened to the savings of people in the 100 banks which have failed? February 25, 2010

Yesterday in the news it was announced that the 100th bank failed since the beginning of the year. My question is: Did the bank customers in those banks lose their savings? Were their accounts locked, or were those banks bought by larger banks? Did people lose their money or not?
Please no guesses or opinion. If you know the answer that it what I am asking for.
