What type of bank account should i open when saving for a house? February 23, 2010

Posted by Banking in : Personal Finance , 3comments
I have a bank account at the moment but the interest rate i’m currently on is 0.03% (which is crap) and i was wondering what type of account should i be looking to open and what banks are good to look at? The money will be in this account for at least the next year if not longer and i put through monthly lodgments varying in amounts so i don’t want anything with a fixed amount.

Any help anyone could provide would be much appreciated!

Which is more risky? Accepting Pay Pal, credit card payments or money orders? February 23, 2010

There is the risk of malware and spyware for credit card use online and unfortunately phony money order scams.

So people which do you think is more risky?
Aren’t you suppose to verify if the money order is authentic before cashing it?
Isn’t there a way it can be determined if it’s fake or real.
Money orders from banks and post offices are real. Just look at the water signs.

I have applied for a moblie phone contract yesterday with T Mobile over the internet and expect to be recieving the SIM over the next few days. However I am only just 18 years old and do not have a credit history, so am not entirely sure if I will pass the credit check or not. Will the company notify me if they are not going to be sending th SIM out?Submited by:Naomi
