How can I get my credit fixed with my ex missing mortgage payments? November 13, 2009

My ex has defaulted on mortages with properties he was awarded in the divorce. My credit has dropped to 524 from 750 in two months. I contacted the big three credit agencies and disputed that they are no longer my properites but the mortage companies said that the divorce decree doesnt matter and that I am still responsible. How can I get this fixed without dealing with another attorney? Is there any law on the books to protect me from his mistakes?

So your divorce decree didn’t require him to refinance the mortgage under his name only? Big mistake. You could end up having to pay for a house that he lives in!
Talk to your ex about paying his bills on time. At this point, you probably can’t take your name off the mortgage because if your ex isn’t paying his bills, he’s probably not in the kind of financial situation where the bank would let him have the entire mortgage in his name only. His only realistic options are to pay his bills on time or sell the house.
As long as your name is on the mortgage, there’s really nothing you can do about him hurting your credit – unless you’re willing to help pay the mortgage.

I think You can apply for a review for your bad credits. Your concerned attorney can help you a lot with this matter.
Сredit repair workеd fine to fix my credit. They disputed and removed lots of bad items from my credit report. I used this service – creditreport.imess.net
