Citibank has one of the best customer service. Their credit cards have lower than average interest rate. 0% introductory rate as well as free reward program are also available. The best citibank credit card is the citi platinum select mastercard or the citi diamond preferred rewards mastercard. I have both and I highly recommend either one of these.

I have an “orchard bank’ secured card and it’s not a rip off. They report good history to the credit agencies and after about six months of good history, you can get a credit increase and get your security deposit back..

Citibank cards are great. They have awesome interest rate offers. I’ve had 0% for over a year now.
Washington Mutual shows you your credit score monthly, which is kind of cool because you don’t have to worry about your credit report.
With Discover your get 1% back on purchases you make. If you like to shop, Nordstrom Visa will get you $20 for every $1,000 you spend in the store ($2,000 elsewhere).
With most major banks (Chase, Citibank, Bank of America) you can sign up for various plans like airline mileage, restaurant points, gas dollars, or even dollars for a purchase of a new car. If you stick with the larger banks, you will generally get good, customer service. Unfortunately larger banks like to have their customer service centers in India and sometimes it’s difficult to understand them. If you’re patient and don’t mind, these banks offer the best interest rates out there.
