A former friend took out a car loan and wasn’t making payments. Without my knowledge, he listed my name as a credit reference with my phone number. I haven’t seen this guy in over a year and they are calling me everyday asking about the car or money. I don’t have any knowledge of his whereabouts. Isn’t there anything I can do to make it so they can stop calling me besides telling them to stop(which I already have) They never called me to confirm whether he is a credit risk or not, but we already weren’t friends, so I would have said I can’t vouch for him. Any help would be appreciated

I’m moving and need to put my money in a bank closer to my new house, what would be the steps to doing that? Also, how would I treat CDs, because there is a penalty if I take the money out before 5 years. Would it be different if I watned to close teh account than if I just wanted to take the money out of the CD?Submited by:chrisbottan

She has went bankrupt twice and there is nothing i can do about it. The credit report is in both of our names because the state requires it. You cannot stop her from getting credit cards and ruining your credit unless you get a divorce. I dont have a credit card and on my credit report there are 16 credit cards with 4 in default? I am currently a college student with 2 checking accounts (Wamu- 3 years & BOA- 1 year) and 1 credit card (Citi- 1 year). I have always met the requirements for my checking accounts and paid all my credit card bills on time. As for loans, I do have about $10,000 of student loans in debt. I was wondering if it is okay for me to get another credit card. Also, many say that having a lot of credit cards are bad for you. What is the reccomendation of how many bank accounts and credit cards should I have so that my credits would not go down? Thanks in advance!
